A New Home in the Ancestral Land speaks tongue-in-cheek to the concept of "progress" since the Wild West was "won" at the expense of indigenous peoples. The ancestors knew a good place to settle where the earth provides all of the essentials: natural beauty, materials for building shelter, soil for growing crops, water, and spiritual connections to existence beyond the stars.
