MANY OF MY ARTWORKS are tributes to people I have admired over the years. Be they family members, pop culture icons, master artists, or historical figures, they have each mentored and inspired me throughout my life. Thus, many of my works allude to others and/or their contributions to cultural understanding. By incorporating my own version of events in post modern-day times, I can express new renditions in my own style in the realm of the imagination.

  The music of Bob Dylan and John Lennon inspired me to think, relate, wonder, and feel, as have many of the master artists: Chagall, Kahlo, Modigliani, Picasso, Rosseau, Van Gogh, and Warhol, to name a few. I have also admired the work of New Mexico artist, David Bradley, and the anonymous painters of the Yugoslavian Primitive School. 

  "Cruising with Clark" (at left) pays tribute to my grandmother as seen here taking a dream cruise on The Maid of Warsaw. On the reverse, I  included the following lyric from the master of songwriting: 'You were so fine Clark Gable would have fell at your feet and laid his life on the line.'
