I. Wolf(Man) Mythology
The Tower of the Emerald Maid
HAVING STUDIED and been inspired by the illuminated manuscripts that the monks created during the Dark Ages - especially the Book of Kells - I was moved to illuminate some of my own writing. I saw in the monks' work, animals with haloes, fancy lettering, and what appeared to be artistic doodles in the margins and I was hooked. "The Tower of the Emerald Maid " and "Introduction to the Buzzard Cult," were attempts to illuminate the darkness in my own life at the time.' -M.A.
